SALES & PIPLINE LEAD - LARGE LAW FIRM!

If so, R & W Group has a fantastic new opportunity. One of our favorite law firm clients is looking for a Sales & Pipeline Lead for one of the practice groups. In this role, you would be responsible for generating sales leads, generating a pipeline of new clients as well as using current client data to suggest cross-selling opportunities. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Working with individual lawyers, in conjunction with practice goals, to create and regularly maintain a sales pipeline of new business.
Suggesting and setting up meetings with prospects and current clients when partners are traveling for industry conferences and general business travel.
Gathering intelligence on companies and proactively sharing this information to lawyers, while suggesting action items.
Staying informed of insurance industry trends as well as key client developments.
Attending and taking a leading role with major industry conferences (e.g., RIMS, URMIA) including leveraging relationships to find speaking engagements, utilizing sponsorships, and proactively bringing targets to connect with partners.
Liaising with the Insurance Business Development Senior Manager to ensure efforts are streamlined as well as other members of the Marketing and Business Development Team to find cross selling opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Set up “white space” meetings for when partners are traveling to other cities.
Gather and act on company intelligence, including managing contact database and adding new leads to it from RIMS and other meetings over time with data points to explain the history of the business relationship.
Keeping current with present news and proactively connecting dots internally with existing clients.
Handling RIMS logistics by setting up meetings with partners; being present during the duration of the RIMS conference; adding contacts made at the conference to the contact database and prioritizing targets for outreach in conjunction with partners; being available to potentially travel to local RIMS events along with partners; etc.
Holding regular coaching meetings with the group’s partners.
Qualifications
Candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field, with a minimum of 5-7 years of relevant sales experience. Legal and insurance industry experience preferred but not required.
Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are critical to success as are collegial, collaborative and team player attributes.
Candidate will thrive on juggling numerous high visibility projects on fast timetables and can handle high-pressure environments.
Candidate should be persistent, have a sales mindset and can overcome frequent objections/rejections.
Candidate should have strong to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
