MARKETING ASSISTANT!

Marketing Assistant!
R&W Group has a great new Marketing Assistant position with one of our favorite law firm clients in DC! Our client, a highly regarded national law firm, is looking for a Marketing Assistant. This is a brand-new position in a growing department. In this role you would help plan and execute over 50 in-person client seminars, webinars, and social events around the U.S. You would also track firm sponsorship/event deliverables and follow-ups/outcomes, maintaining the firm’s client relationship management database, using email marketing/event management software, and providing general marketing and business development assistance. The position has firm-wide responsibility, and is based in Washington, DC.
Position Details
The Marketing Assistant primarily supports the firm’s Marketing Events Coordinator and ultimately reports to the firm’s Director of Business Development & Marketing Operations. This role has high visibility within the firm, particularly with the firm’s lawyers, and substantial interaction with external contacts.
Event support includes researching venues, preparing and sending invitations, posting event details on the firm’s website, tracking event attendance and corresponding with attendees, preparing event materials (e.g., PowerPoint slides, attendee folders, and nametags), maintaining an inventory of giveaway items, making A/V arrangements, providing day-of support, and assisting with event follow-up.
Events include conferences (both firm-hosted and those with firm participation or sponsorship), tradeshows, roundtables, social and sporting events, and webinars. A constant stream of events requires dealing with overlapping deadlines and deliverables, adhering to effective internal processes, and managing events both in-person and remotely.
The CRM component requires daily attention to database changes and a broader perspective on how the firm can better use the database in support of its client relationships. This includes implementing effective processes for tracking/updating contacts and activities and communicating these to firm users, overseeing data quality and maintenance, issue-spotting/troubleshooting, analytics, and working with the firm’s Information Technology Department to enhance the overall utility of the CRM.
The email marketing component involves keeping apprised of software updates and best practices, creating and improving email marketing templates, and maximizing the software’s data analytics capabilities.
You would also provide general support/assistance/backup to lawyers and the marketing team firmwide on marketing communications and collateral, website and social media, PR, business development/pitches, and other tasks as assigned.
