Law Firm Biotech Patent Agent!

Are you a registered law firm Patent Agent in the DC area with a PhD in the areas of biotechnology, biochemistry, molecular biology, or cancer biology? Have you considered attending law school as the next step in your career journey? If so, R&W Group has the perfect opportunity for you: We are currently staffing a role for a Patent Agent with one of our favorite law firm clients, located in the DC Metro Area.

In this role, you will the firm’s Life Science Patent Prosecution group with a variety of challenging tasks, including post-grant procedure work with the PTO, patent and scientific paper analysis, conducting prior art searches to determine patentability and freedom to operate status, and patent application draft/response work.

The successful candidate will possess their PhD in a relevant biotech field, and at least one to three years of law firm Patent Agent experience, with special consideration being shown to candidates possessing applicable AmLaw 100 firm experience. In addition to excellent technical knowledge, candidates should possess excellent communication skillsets, and the ability to learn quickly and act as a self-starter.  Great firm location and culture, with an industry leader in Patent Prosecution, and law school tuition reimbursement available to Patent Agents!
