Human Resources Specialist!
Are you an HR Specialist? Would you like to work with a top law firm? If so, R&W Group has a fantastic new opportunity! One of our favorite law firm clients is looking for a Human Resources Specialist in Baltimore or DC.
In this role, you would be responsible for managing and directing HR and Diversity, Equity Inclusion & Professional Development (DEI/PD) projects. Primary duties will include but are not limited to the following:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage all logistical aspects of the mid-year and annual evaluation processes for lawyers and staff
Manage and assist with the implementation of professional development training programs for lawyers and staff
Facilitate soft skills training in conjunction with the IT department, the Firm’s EAP and other external sources
Coordinate training programs with the IT department related to software and skills training
Provide support to the core HR team and the Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Professional Development
Collaborate and support Professional Development programming, including the planning and coordination of all aspects of DEI and HR events for the firm
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE
Minimum of five (5) years of human resources experience
Knowledge and an understanding of DEI issues and trends
SHRM-CP or PHR Certification preferred
Law firm experience preferred
Knowledge of Microsoft Suite to produce quality written communications, including written documents in Word, presentations in PowerPoint and basic functions of Excel and Outlook
Experience using viGlobal/viEval preferred but not required
SKILLS
Demonstrate the ability to maintain strict confidentiality of the firm’s internal and personnel affairs
Approachable and collaborative; demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
Ability to organize and maintain a significant number of diverse, concurrent projects
Must be detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to establish follow-up and follow-through on tasks
Strong project management skills involving setting goals and achieving results
Proven ability to engage employees during presentations
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent planning and organizational skills
Demonstrate critical thinking, problem solving and good judgement
Well-developed and professional interpersonal skills to interact effectively with all organizational levels of the Firm
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree. BA/BS in human resources or related field required
Relevant experience in lieu of degree may be acceptable
