Jeff is an industry veteran with over a decade of staffing experience. After a successful career practicing law as a litigator in Washington, DC, Jeff joined an international staffing company and was quickly promoted to Managing Director of the DC legal placement office where he grew the legal business for seven years. Jeff has also worked as a senior executive with several national and regional staffing agencies, where he gained experience fulfilling personnel needs in the areas of Office Administration, Accounting, Finance, and Information Technology.
Jeff is a proud graduate of Vassar College and the Boston University School of Law. Jeff’s knowledge, vision and honesty have made him one of the most well respected professionals in the greater Washington, DC area. Jeff has presented seminars to law firms, corporations and associations across the country to help them maximize their employees’ potential.
Kathryn Parente brings 10 years of professional experience in recruiting and career services to R&W Group. Having worked in both corporate and academic career services recruitment arenas, Kathryn has a keen insight into the needs and challenges our clients face as they grow and maintain their staff. Previously the Assistant Director for Employer Outreach and Recruitment for the Office of Career Services at Georgetown University Law Center, she successfully established and maintained relationships with legal employers to ensure that Georgetown Law students had access to the best opportunities ahead of other schools. Prior to that, Kathryn worked as Recruitment Manager for the Career Development Office at The George Washington University Law School where she was in charge of all on- and off-campus recruiting programs, advising students on interview protocol, and assisting employers with recruiting needs. She also has a background in international development recruiting with a large global development company based in the D.C. area.
Kathryn earned her B.A. in International Studies from American University and her Master’s in Tourism Administration with a focus on Event Management from The George Washington University.
Kathryn lives in Alexandria, Virginia, with her husband and son.
Kara brings over fifteen years of proven recruiting experience to R&W Group, helping the firm to become one of the most highly respected in the industry. A successful background in staffing for large, international law firms gives Kara an invaluable understanding of legal practices, and an insider’s knowledge about what types of talent law firms are seeking. She has managed hiring budgets, summer associate programs, lateral hiring efforts, and training programs. Kara has spent her entire career collaborating with and providing professional counsel to attorneys and human resources administrators who value her guidance and good judgment, and more recently has utilized her talents to assist human resources professionals in other industries as well.
Kara is a proud graduate of Ohio University & earned her BA in Interpersonal Communications. She lives in Virginia with her husband and their two children.
Corinne Rollin moved to the Washington DC area shortly after graduating college at Quinnipiac University, with a major in Legal Studies, and a minor in Biology. Corinne worked in several law firms in the DC area where she learned what an important role bringing on the right talent was to the success of a law firm. She soon combined her legal background with her excellent people skills and began the transition into recruiting. While at TrustPoint International—a contract attorney staffing agency—she quickly ascended the ranks from Director of Legal Staffing to Director of Client Solutions. Corinne understands a client’s needs and concerns and is able to address issues head on. She knows the in’s and out’s of temporary staffing and is eager to assist in any way possible.
In her free time, Corinne enjoys fine dining, travel, live music, and her hanging out with her dog– Tiberius.
Jacob Kates brings a wealth of experience to R&W having launched his HR career at a prestigious boutique Intellectual Property law firm in Washington, DC. His education and years of experience on the inside combine to create a powerful recruiting force for both R&W clients and candidates. Having been the client, Jacob knows the things most important to law firms as they attract and retain talent. And he certainly knows how best to deliver excellent customer service.
Prior to joining R&W, Jacob was an HR Assistant at Sterne Kessler Goldstein & Fox. He earned his BS in Human Resource Management from the University of Maryland. Jacob lives in Baltimore, Maryland, with his wife and two sons. Outside of his work as a recruiter, he enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, exercising, and rooting for his “other true love”, the Washington Redskins.
Kendall Brennan began her foray into recruiting working as a research and administrative assistant for her parents’ executive search firm in high school where she helped source and prescreen candidates as well as sought out open requisitions for the firm. What initially started as a way to earn extra gas money turned into a deep interest in helping people better their careers, lives, and companies.
Kendall relocated to the Washington, DC area after moving to complete an internship for her college degree at an international PR firm. She brings enthusiasm to everything she does and listens to candidates needs and wants to help match them with the best position for their goals and skill set.
Kendall graduated with a BA in Mass Communications from Georgia College & State University. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, baking, and spending time with family and friends.
Abra Salazarte relocated to the Washington DC area shortly after graduating with a BA in Communication Studies and a minor in Sociology from the University of Georgia.
Abra started in the recruiting industry as the temporary administrative employee of a DC based staffing firm. After experiencing first-hand the impact that professional recruiting could have on people’s lives and careers, she jumped at the chance to join the R&W team as a recruiter. With several years of professional experience, balancing both full-time academics and working with students at a Montessori school, Abra brings a fresh and enthusiastic perspective to the recruiting industry. Having experienced the candidate side of recruiting, Abra utilizes her previous professional experience and positive attitude to help relate to candidates and identify their strengths in order to create the best possible client-candidate match.
In her free time, Abra enjoys travelling, live music, cooking, and exploring all of the culinary options that DC has to offer.
